Preschool

At CBCS preschool, we believe children learn best through play, exploration, creativity, and meaningful relationships. We are proud to use The Creative Curriculum for Preschool to provide engaging, hands-on learning experiences that support the whole child.

Learning Through Play

In our classrooms, learning is active, joyful, and meaningful. Children, ages 3 and 4, develop important skills while:

  • building and creating,
  • exploring science and nature,
  • engaging in dramatic play,
  • listening to and telling stories,
  • experimenting with art and music,
  • and working collaboratively with peers.

Teachers intentionally plan experiences that support early literacy, math, problem-solving, communication, and social-emotional growth—all within a developmentally appropriate environment.

Designed for Discovery

Our brand new classrooms are designed to spark curiosity and encourage children to actively explore the world around them. Through purposeful play and teacher-guided experiences, children build the foundational skills needed for success in kindergarten and beyond.

The Advantage of Alignment

As part of the elementary school campus, our teachers benefit from an unmatched connection to the primary grades. This partnership provides our team with direct insight into the specific foundational skills preschoolers need to master to thrive in kindergarten and beyond. This "vertical alignment" ensures that your child’s transition is seamless and that their early learning is purposefully built for future success.

Specials

The bridge to the big school extends to our programming. As part of their daily schedule preschool students will participate in Specials. Our Specials program is designed to reach every part of your child’s potential. Whether it’s the fine motor precision in Art, the mathematical patterns and self-expression in Music, or the resilient problem-solving in STEM, these experiences build a 'whole child.' We aren't just teaching subjects; we are giving students different languages to express themselves and new ways to discover what they are truly capable of.
