Dear Students, Families, Community Members and All who are interested in the Crested Butte Elementary School, Greetings and welcome to our school site! I am Sally Hensley and have been principal here at CBES since 2013. Our school is part of the Crested Butte Community School, a K-12 facility in the heart of Crested Butte serving over 800 students and their families. We are a community school in the true sense of the term. Our teachers, staff, students and families build strong relationships that often span the full 13 years between kindergarten and senior year. The mission of CBES is to ensure all learners are successful, safe and resilient. We do this by having a strong focus on academic progress, innovative learning experiences, and social-emotional development and wellbeing.
